Mike Nielsen was brought up on farms and has an affinity for the soil. He has spent most of his working life outdoors on farms and working with machinery. Starting out working for the family fencing business, Mike learnt first -hand the importance of listening to the customer and making their requirements a reality.
In 1995 following his father’s retirement, Mike struck out on his own to continue the family legacy. While looking for a more efficient way to expand the fencing business, Mike came across the Dingo Mini Digger. Purchasing the 4th Dingo ever sold in New Zealand, Mike soon realised the versatility this machine had to offer. Leaving the fencing behind, Nielsen Dial A Dingo was born.
Over the years Dingo Mike (as he is now known) has become proficient on the machine and added digger, a bobcat, a curbing machine, a tip truck and a purpose built skid steer loader along with many attachments. When you call Nielsen Dial A Dingo you get one contractor who can do many jobs, which saves you time and money. One phone call can do it all. Mike’s motto is “No job too big, no client too small.” He’ll tackle anything. The bigger the challenge, the more he loves it. So if you think no one can do it or will do it, think again. He doesn’t mind getting off the machine and getting his hands dirty either. He wants to leave every job knowing you are happy with his workmanship.
The experience of the past coupled with enthusiasm for the future leads Mike to continue expanding the scope of his business and providing top class service to the Horowhenua (Levin, Shannon, Foxton and regions) as well as Kapiti (Otaki, Paraparaumu, Waikanae, Raumati and regions) with top class service
